The Euregio Summer School

The Euregio Summer School is dedicated to the topic of “Human Rights and Technological Change.” Every year, there is a specific thematic focus. At the same time, it is seen as an initiative to promote European integration.

It offers 30 students, as well as researchers from the three Euregio universities in Bolzano, Innsbruck, and Trento, the opportunity to gain an extensive and in-depth insight into the topic over three days, and to explore it further through discussions and small-group sessions.

A special opportunity and enrichment is the collaboration with the Global Campus of Human Rights, a globally oriented excellence center of the EU based in Venice, which has been established for over 20 years and thus has an outstanding international network.

Students not only meet like-minded people their own age, but also have the opportunity to engage directly with recognized experts for several days. On the other hand, the Euregio Summer School is an excellent opportunity for academics to go beyond the confines of university life and specialized conferences, to learn about the perspectives and solutions of young people, and to strengthen and further develop their interdisciplinary skills. The Summer School is conducted in English. The linguistic environment is trilingual (German, English, Italian).

The Euregio Summer School provides all participants with accommodation at the guesthouse of the Dobbiaco Cultural Centre (twin rooms), including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee breaks, as well as reimbursement of travel expenses.

Ten places are available for each of the Euregio universities. Students from all disciplines and at all stages of their studies are welcome to apply. We aim to achieve a balanced mix of participants.
